Sorgenia entered the residential solar panel market and aims to reach 2 million customers through projects involving renewable solar energy. Its already being implemented in some provinces, which provides solar panels for free (on loan for use twenty years) to customers.
Sorgenia private operator of electricity and natural gas, has entered the residential market and, through the launch of a new campaign aims to reach 1.5 million customers by the end of 2016. In this way, customers would widen the basin of proportion to touch 2 million. All this, as pointed out a press release by the company, implies new investments, including in the business plan presented in February 2011. This is about 275 million euros until 2016 for the development of the commercial network, the adaptation of the technology infrastructure company and the expansion of service to the consumer. In general, the goal of Sorgenia is to match the commercial concrete targets for energy efficiency, making freely available to all new residential customers simple tools that reduce consumption.
Among the products Sorgenia Libero24 provides a starting price for the energy component that can never be exceeded, but can only go down as well as discounts for loyal customers (additional 1% discount per year). Those who choose this product will receive a free tool to reduce standby consumption from the television for an annual savings in the bill that comes to 10%.
But PV is an important segment of society in the new strategy. The project Solemio provides, in fact, that Sorgenia install residential solar panels on the roof of the building for free on loan for the customer’s use of 20 years. The project satisfies the principle of distributed generation – we read the same statement – namely the creation of facilities that are near the point of consumption of energy, with significant advantages in terms of optimizing the transmission and distribution. Through this project, you can save up to 50% of costs in the bill as Sorgenia gives all the energy produced by the facility which is consumed at the same time.
In early-stage Solemio will initially adopt in municipalities that will sign an agreement with Sorgenia and the initiative is already being implemented in some provinces. Everything revolves around the customer, then that becomes became a producer of solar energy from renewable sources and can save up to 50% on amounts in the bill.
According to Sorgenia, the advantage of this process can be achieved by installing a photovoltaic solar energy system on the roof of his house, loaned for use free of charge. The energy produced by the photovoltaic solar panel system can simultaneously be consumed in the home, without the need to fetch it from the mains, this is the savings per day (and free energy saving in the bill). When the plant does not produce housing that is always connected to the network, it will continue to collect energy consumption for the evening and night. After 20 years, the residential solar panels will be owned by the customer, which can also be redeemed before this date.
